Voici les dernières news de la cox “tout terrain” de Pat en vue de sa participation au Libya Rallye 2016.

On continue avec le montage à blanc des portières en polyester puis on passe à la mécanique :
A l’avant, montage de platines CSP pour adapter étriers et disques de cox récentes (68-) sur les fusées de 181
Avec passage en plaquette FERODO “Racing” histoire de gagner en endurance …
Et on remplace l’amortisseur de direction par un amortisseur FOX à gaz plus performant
A l’arrière, les bras obliques ont entièrement été révisés, nouveaux CTC, nouveaux roulements …
et montage de nouvelles lames Sway-a-Way et du kit disques CSP
La prochaine étape sera probablement le montage de la boite 5 …
Car les arbres de la boite rallongés et les pièces du “Kit 5 vitesses” viennent juste de revenir de chez BERG.
On en reparle très prochainement avec la suite des modifications …

We follow today with the dry mounting of polyester doors and go back to the mechanics:
At the front, mounting of CSP adapter plates to fit recent beetle calipers & discs (68-) on VW 181 spindles
With shift to FERODO“Racing” brake pads, for gain endurance …
And the steering damper was replaced with a FOX gas damper more efficient.
At the rear, trailing arms have been completely revised, new bushings, new bearings, etc …
and installation of new Sway-A-Way blades and CSP brake discs kit
The next step will probably be the assembly of 5-speed gearbox …
As the lengthened gearbox mainshafts and parts of “5 Speed conversion kit” just come back from BERG.
