Les ventes aux enchères de prestige aux USA se suivent (avec des prix de plus en plus ???) mais les voitures changent.
Après le 23 fenêtres de 1963 (7 ans de restauration) qui avait terminé à 217.800 $US (+ de 150.000 €) en juillet 2011
Voici un BayWindow Pick-up de 1968 “restauré il y a 7 ans” qui termine lui à 28.600 $US (hors frais de vente)
ce qui place ce BayWindow pick-up à plus de 22.000 euro quand même …
un prix suprenant pour un véhicule servant au départ à transporter les clients d’une concession Ferrari jusqu’a l’aéroport
Car à la vue des photos , je ne peux m’empecher de penser que les ombres qui apparaissent sur les panneaux de carrosserie,
révelent un superbe bombage typique d’une superbe “restauration US” à grand renfort de mastic plafonné à la truelle …
c’est beau, ça brille et au final … c’est bien cher …. (peut être le prix du mastic ou des autocollants Ferrari)
( RmAuctions : Lot 179 … le reste des voitures mérite le détour si elles ne sont pas restaurée de la même façon )
Si vous vouliez voir à quoi ressemble l’acheteur du 23 fenêtres à 150.000 euro … ou vous imprégner de l’ambiance …

Seeing the photos, i can not help but think that the shadows that are visible on the body panels probably hide,
a typical “US restoration”, with lots of bondo applied with a trowel …
It’s beautiful, it shines and in the end … it’s expensive … (may because of the price of bondo or Ferrari stickers)
