et celui-ci est destiné à un “Vintage Speedster” Porsche 356 replica
Après 12.000km … L’arbre à came du moteur de celui ci avait décidé de se briser au niveau du pignon
De nombreux morceaux en ont profités pour promener dans le bloc grignotant celui ci a leur passage
Ce n’est malheureusement pas le 1er moteur de ce fabricant qui rend les armes après aussi peu de kilomètres !
Voilà le genre de chose que l’on peut retrouver sur un moteur (mal et vite) assemblé à la chaine en usine
Retour à la case départ avec un bloc alu neuf, un arbre à came neuf, des coussinets neufs
Un polissage du vilebrequin et un équilibrage de toutes les pièces mobiles
On nettoie et on remonte tous les autres éléments préservés par les morceaux et la limaille
On remplace le radiateur d’huile par un neuf pour éviter tout risque de surprises avec des morceaux “cachés” On remplace aussi la pompe à huile par un modèle avec filtre externe … histoire d’améliorer le filtrage …

After 7.200 miles (12,000km) the camshaft of the engine of this one decided to break at the level of the pinion
Many pieces have taken advantage of it to walk in the block nibbling this one has their passage
It is unfortunately not the first engine of this manufacturer that surrenders arms after so few miles !
Sadly, this is the kind of thing that can be found on an engine (badly & quickly) assembled on a factory chain
Back to starting lane with a new aluminum engine block, new camshaft, new bearings
Crankshaft polishing and balancing of all moving parts
All the other elements preserved by the “moving” broken parts are cleaned and reassembled
We replace the oil cooler with a new one to avoid any risk of surprises with “hidden” metal parts.
We also replace the oil pump by a model with external filter … history to improve filtering …
